Cuttlebone Jewelry Casting

Introduction to this unique and beautiful method of making jewelry. Learn how to carve into the bone of the cuttlefish and prep it for casting. Learn about the oxygen/ propane jewelry casting torch and the related equipment involved. Learn how to melt precious metal at almost 2K degrees and cast your own piece of jewelry. Each student will have the opportunity to leave with one small handmade piece of cuttlebone-textured jewelry. Taught by Erik Maes, 20 years of experience as a jewelry designer.
